Nationality Enquiries Line

The Nationality Enquiries Line is an Independent helpline (not connected with the government) that provides guidance on whether you are entitled to UK Citizenship. If you are travelling to the UK or are already here and need advice on how to become a UK resident, we can answer your query and point you in the right direction. This helpline is not affiliated with Her Majesty’s Passport Office, the UK Border Agency or any government department and is service run by British Passport Services. The line provides information on where to secure Visa, Nationality and Immigration services. We are not licensed to provide immigration or visa advice and so can only point you in the right direction for answers to these questions.

Live Helpline: 0203 600 1984

We will guide you in regards to how you can get a British Passport. We can point you in the right direction for answers to questions on whether you are permitted to work in the UK, how your relatives will be able to join you here, what to do if you have been threatened with deportation, how to extend your stay longer than you had intended originally, whether you would be allowed to re-enter the UK if you are travelling abroad and many more questions that organisations that we can direct you to can answer.

We can point you in the right direction with all types of enquiries. If the purpose of your call is for settlement, business, study, transit, visit, work visa or any other immigration issue, contact us to find out how we can help. Whether the enquiry is for you, family members or friends, you can call us to see how we can become a citizen of the United Kingdom. The British government hosted its own Nationality Enquiries Line however in recent years it was shut down which is very inconvenient for many non British citizens or those who are unsure of their citizenship and have a quick question that they need answering. British Passport Services is proud to fill this void left by the British Government by providing information on the fore mentioned topics.

Nationality Enquiries Line: 0203 600 1984

This helpline is answered between Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am to 6pm (excluding bank holidays). The helpline operates on a London based 0203 number which charged at a standard landline rate. Although it varies on the mobile phone or landline package you are on most packages do have free inclusive landline minutes and so calling this number would come out of your inclusive minutes with no surcharges. If you are outside the United Kingdom then you can still reach this line by adding +44 in front of the number and removing the first zero. Therefore +44203 600 1984 is what you would need to dial. Using a calling card or VOIP based software such as Skype will be the cheapest way to contact us if overseas. You can also email us.
