Durham Passport Office

Durham is situated in North East England. The Durham Passport Office is located five minutes’ walk from the railway station, making it easily accessible. Customers can make appointments through the British Passport Service to attend this office.  You can opt for either a fast track service or a premium service with this office. A fast track service has a turnaround time of a week, unless the passport is received on a Saturday after twelve pm, there will then be an eight day turnaround, as this is the cut off time. With a premium service the turnaround time will be four hours. You will not be seen without an appointment at any of the seven passport offices. (link) Summer is the busiest time for most passport offices, so you should look to plan as early as possible if you are travelling during this period. For a straightforward renewal you will need to bring: your latest passport, the standard form from the post office, 2 passport pictures which meet the strict regulations and one must be countersigned. (insert picture link) It is also advisable that you arrive at the passport office in good time so that you can pass through security. You must also ensure that you do not bring any sharp objects with you as you will not be permitted to pass through security. Only one person is allowed in per appointment; however one appointment can serve multiple applicants.
