You will not be seen without an appointment at any of the seven Passport Offices in the UK. The Summer is the busiest time for most Passport Offices and so you should consider applying for, renewing or replacing your passport outside of this season if you are able to.

For a straightforward renewal you will need to bring: your current/old passport, the standard form from the post office, 2 passport pictures which meet the strict regulations and any supporting documents related to your application. It is also advised that you arrive at the Passport Office 15 minutes before your allocated time so you have enough time to pass through security.

You must also ensure that you do not bring any sharp objects with you as you will not be permitted to pass through security. Only one person is allowed in per appointment; however if you have a young child then you will be able to bring them with you too.
