London Passport Office (New Address)
The UK’s busiest Passport Office is in the London. However since April 2023 it has moved address.
For 20+ years it has been located two minutes away from Victoria mainline train station which is connected to Gatwick Express, Victoria, District or Circle Underground lines but is now located in East London.
It is now a 1 minute walk from the Excel exhibition centre with the nearest train station being Custom House. The new Elizabeth Line and the DLR both stop at this train station.

Attending a HM Passport Office in person (or sending an authorised person) provides a faster process for securing a new British passport then sending the application via the post or through your local Post Office however additional fees do apply. The London Passport Office offers both express services namely the Fast Track and Premium Service were the new passport will be ready within 1 day or 1 week.

There are seven offices who deal with passport related issues which are London, Liverpool, Durham, Newport, Glasgow, Belfast, and Peterborough. The London office alone has the capacity to issue thousands of passports a month. Availability of appointments varies based on the time of year with the Summer months and school holidays the busiest times to renew a passport and advisable to avoid where possible.
Those who are over the age of 16 and have never held a UK passport before cannot use either of the two express services. Their first adult passport will need to be processed via the standard application route which takes between three to six weeks and will be arrive through the post.

If you are unable to attend because of work or other commitments then an Appointment Exemption Service exists whereby you will not need to incur the time, travel and potential accommodation expenses in travelling to the London Passport Office in person, we can send an agent to go for you. This service costs £50 in addition to our other third party service charges and can be selected when completing the online form.
